Rumor has it - that Lt. Harding's prosecution was quickly ended, due to allegations that the investigating & arresting sheriff detective in the Harding case, in an unrelated case - had engaged in inappropriate text / email conversations with a female domestic violence victim. These allegations are currently being investigated by the sheriff's office. The sheriff detective recently resigned from the VSO (click below linked document).

Local Law Enforcement Floats Upon A River Of Sexual Misconduct

While Volusia Sheriff Mike Chitwood will attempt to cajole the public into the belief that these acts of sexual misconduct within his ranks are rare occurrences (see below video and sheriff's statement) - the evidence suggests differently (continue reading the article).

It has only been two years ago - since it was discovered that supervisors within the sheriff's office own training academy were engaging in sexual trysts with a female recruit (see below linked article).

It was only last year, when Volusia investigators determined that a sworn Beach Patrol officer had engaged in a sexual relationship with a sixteen (16) junior lifeguard. No criminal charges, to our knowledge, were ever filed against the officer (see below linked article).

Our Pampered Pedophiles

In addition to no criminal charges being filed against our pedophile Beach Patrol officer (see above linked article) - the well heeled and the politically connected within our community have routinely molested our children with little to no ramifications. Sadly, rumor has it - that there is currently an under-age sex scandal brewing within South East Volusia County, that involved some influential government individuals - stand by to stand by on these matters .... there is definitely more to report on this.

A Scandal Within The Prosecutor's Office?

Assistant State Attorney Mark Interlicchio recently resigned from the local prosecutor's office. Rumor has it that his resignation was attached to allegations of inappropriate communications with a witness / victim. (see resignation letter - right of page =>)

ASA Interlicchio also "resigned" from the Orlando state attorney's office, when in 2018, similar allegations were lodged against him during a high profile murder prosecution. (see below linked media article).

We are currently vetting this rumor out -- we anticipate having more documents and commentary shortly ... so stand by to stand by on this ... we highly suspect there is more to report.

$750,000 Government Cover-Up?

Today (April 15, 2025) - the Volusia County Council will being voting on whether to approve a $750,000 settlement with former corrections director Mark Flowers. (see below linked article) .

Sometime ago, Volusia County Government fired Director Flowers alleging that he had failed to properly manage the operation of the jail (see below linked articles).

Flowers then , that ranking county officials were refusing to investigate acts of misconduct transpiring within the jail.

Constitutional Violations At The Jail ?

While former Corrections Director Flowers alleges within that county officials may have used, and ignored, the application of excessive physical force against jail inmates, in apparent - this publication is currently investigating concerns that jail officials, and possibly state prosecutors were listening into privileged phone conversations between jail inmates and their attorneys - in (see linked jail report - right of page =>).

We suspect that County officials, as well as Mr. Flowers desire to settle these employment matters quietly - and within this three-quarter of a million dollar settlement - so as - not to "rock the boat" on whether any of these U.S. Constitutional violations were actually occurring.
