"In a state where corruption abounds, laws must be very numerous." - Tacitus

VolusiaExposed.Com has been informed that after nearly four years of prosecution - the local State Attorney's office has decided to abandon their prosecution of Michael Morrison.(see below linked court notice)

Mr. Morrison was shot and arrested by a Holly Hill police officer in late October 2012 - when the officers were breaking into Morrison's home in order to take him into custody on a domestic battery charge. The police did not have either a search or arrest warrant. As the police were breaking into Morrison home - they allege that Morrison pointed a hand gun at them - thus causing one of the officers to shoot Morrison in the back.

Morrison has denied pointing a gun at the two officers - and took the position that the police had no legal authority to be on his property. During a recent hearing - an expert witness in policing procedures agreed with Mr. Morrison.

VolusiaExposed.Com has written several articles detailing the shooting, the arrest and the criminal prosecution of Morrison - these articles (web links) have been incorporated within this article (see right of page).

We invite you to read our earlier articles - so that you - our readers - can have a full appreciation of how dysfunctional our justice system has become.

Congratulations Michael - now watch your back !!
=========================================

It took the State Attorney nearly four years to realize the folly in their criminal prosecution of Mr. Morrison. We wonder how long it will take them to realize that their prosecution of Mr. Richard Thripp is a similar waste of their time and of taxpayer's dollars?
