SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHERIFF Sheriff Mike Chitwood Challenges The County Council Chitwood Refers To The Majority Of The Council As "Scumbags" For Their Position On Amendment 10 |
December 10, 2018 |
As was properly covered in a December 5th, 2018 Daytona Beach News Journal article - Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood held a news conference, whereas, he was highly critical of the Volusia County Council's decision to mount a legal challenge against the recently passed Amendment 10 to the Florida Constitution. Amendment 10 - passed by Florida voters during the recent election - will modify the Florida Constitution by granting mandatory constitutional powers to several government offices, including that of the sheriff's office. Doing such, will invest the sheriff with more control and authority in the daily running of his office. Volusia County is one of just a few Florida counties that does not have a constitutional sheriff's office. |
Sheriff Mike Chitwood's Press Conference Watch Below Video * Referenced throughout the press conference - with particular attention given to minutes 4:45 to 5:15 |
During Sheriff Chitwood's press conference, he alleged that the County Council were the puppets of big developers*. This publication supports Sheriff Chitwood's assessment that our current County Council is much more interested in protecting the financial and legal interests of a few large developers - than representing the interests of all Volusia County citizens. This publication has for years supported the return of State Constitutional powers to several county offices, including the sheriff's office. |
November 29, 2018 Judicial Nominating Commission Interviews Judicial Candidate Bryan Rendzio Making His Mori Hosseini Connection Watch Below Video watch & listen to minutes 9:45 to 10:25 ......"I met with Mori Hosseini...I have made those contacts..." ** This publication in no way infers that Mr. Brown or Mr. Hosseini are inclusive to the "developers" statement made by Sheriff Chitwood. Mr. Brown was included within this article due to his assignment as chairperson of the VCCRC. Mr. Hosseini was included due to his numerous references within JNC candidate interviews. |
In fact, as outlined in our August 17, 2017 article - this publication made these recommendations during the 2015 Volusia County Charter Review Commission (VCCRC).
Billionaire businessman J. Hyatt Brown**, the retired CEO of Brown & Brown Insurance chaired the 2015 VCCRC, and at least two former Volusia County Council members were VCCRC commissioners. Our county charter recommendations fell on deaf ears - why, well in our OPINION - because the members of the 2015 VCCRC were hand picked by the Volusia County Council - the puppets of the Volusia County elite power base. As further detailed within our August 17, 2017 article, Volusia County administrative staff lied in their report - stating that for all VCCRC meetings since 1975***, including the 2015 meeting - that no citizen had proposed an amendment to the county officer policies. Our video recordings from the most recent 2015-2016 VCCRC clearly indicate that at least two individuals recommended changes to the county officer policies - including the recommendation of making the sheriff's office a constitutional office. So, like Sheriff Chitwood indicated within his press conference - the county will outright lie. A December 6th, 2018 Daytona Beach News Journal article (DBNJ) implies that Sheriff Chitwood is over-reacting, and in a "meltdown" mode, regarding the County Council's decision to legally challenge Amendment 10. The DBNJ argues that this situation is not a "battle between good vs. evil" - but rather it's a "battle between one government organizational chart and another." This publication (VolusiaExposed.Com) disagrees with the DBNJ. The war of government organizational charts was already fought on two different battlefields - in the courtroom, and at the ballot box. Sheriff Chitwood won both battles - thus, winning the War Of The Organizational Charts. In our OPINION the supporters of a county chartered sheriff's office - did not believe that Amendment 10 would be passed by the voters. They sorely miscalculated. Now as sore losers, they wish to relitigate the matter. In our OPINION, Sheriff Chitwood is not in melt down mode - but rather the County Council is in a nuclear melt down mode, in a frantic attempt to hold on to their corrupt practices by maintaining the status quo. However, their Chernobyl melt down is placing our local democracy at risk If Sheriff Chitwood is at war - he is at war with a group of individuals that desire to deny the citizens of Volusia County their U.S. Constitutional right to select their form of government - something Sheriff Chitwood has sworn to protect. While this publication has in the past been critical of Sheriff Chitwood - in this matter - we say it is time to SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHERIFF. While Sheriff Chitwood appears to have an understanding that an elite group of developers are the puppet masters of the Volusia County Council - what Sheriff Chitwood might not know - is that this very same group of developers appear to also have the majority of the local judiciary in their pockets. For nearly nine (9) years now - this publication has been covering the activities of the 7th Judicial Circuit's Judicial Nominating Commission. (JNC). The JNC process is a secondary way (primary way = elections) for the filling of open judicial seats between election years. A judge may die, resign, or be removed - and the next election may be over a year away. The JNC process allows a selected group of individiuals (JNC) - hand picked by the governor, to interview and recommend judicial nominees for a final gubernatorial appointment to the bench. As outlined in our April 22, 2016 article, this publication has developed the OPINION that the local puppet masters have manipulated these JNC judicial appointments, in a way, to insure, their best interests, over the best interests of the local community. Within our December 21, 2015 article, this publication outlined our concerns over the gubernatorial appointment of Assistant County Attorney Mary Jolley to circuit court judge. A review of this article - will provide the reader with an understanding of the importance of having the support of local real estate developer Mori Hosseini** in the securing of a judicial appointment within the 7th judicial circuit. It is of significance that during recent (November 29, 2018) JNC interviews - Judicial Candidate Bryan Robert Rendzio made a reference of speaking with Mr. Hosseini** regarding his judicial application (see the above - JNC interview video - particular attention given to minutes 9:45 to 10:25) Out of a candidate list of eighteen (18) - Mr. Renzio's name was included in the list of six (6) nominees forwarded to Governor Scott's office for the governor's consideration in making this judicial appointment. Should the Volusia County Council eventually opt to fully litigate the Amendment 10 situation - we predict that the case will be assigned to a gubernatorial appointed judge - who's is in the pockets of the local puppet masters. Another probability is that the local puppet masters will concoct a corruption case against the sheriff - and have the governor remove him from office. Regardless, good luck Sheriff Chitwood, you will need it. ....stand by to stand by - there is surely more to come of this...... We look forward to your comments on this situation.
