Alcohol And The Badge The Drunken Exploits Of Volusia County Deputy Breck Sanders A Liar, After All, Is A Liar |
February 9, 2015 |
Yet Another Incident Involving A Deputy Providing A False Statement A few facts are crystal clear - in the morning hours of October 15, 2014 - Lori Comer discovered a heavily damaged red 2004 Ford F-150 pickup truck in the driveway of her Samsula home, located on Parsley Lane. Joan Jett - Bad Reputation Several hours prior, a truck matching the description of Deputy Sanders truck was observed travelling eastbound in the westbound land of State Road 44. Further, a traffic control sign, in that general area, was found to have been run down, and left deposited approximately a half mile from it's original location. The traffic control sign had a paint crash transfer, that matched the color (red) of Deputy Sander's truck. Sadly, that is pretty much where most of the facts end in this internal affairs report. Well, other than the fact, that Deputy Sanders had been out bar hopping and drinking heavily that prior evening. |

What Exactly Was He Un-Truthful About? According to the attached VCSO internal affairs reports - several charges, to include being "untruthful" were sustained against Deputy Sanders. (see pages 19-20 of IA report) But, on page 20 of the VCSO report, there is a caveat given, it states that whatever Deputy Sanders was "untruthful" about - it did not occur while he was under oath. However, page 14 of that very same report, indicates that Deputy Sanders provided a "sworn" statement during the internal affairs investigation. So are we to assume that whatever he was "untruthful" about, did not transpire within that sworn statement? |
