Three Different Florida State Attorneys,
two different approaches of handling allegations of police misconduct

Why is State Attorney, R.J. Larizza apparently more concerned about NOT embarrassing law enforcement officals, then he is about exposing and stopping corruption within law enforcement?

KUDOS TO STATE ATTORNEYS JEFF ASHTON AND JERRY HILL

Both the State Attorneys out of the ninth and tenth judicial circuits have recently questioned law enforcement administrators on whether they have ongoing police corruption within their agencies.

We congratulate Jeff Ashton for insisting that a grand jury review the events surrounding a law enforcement shooting.

While it's a fact that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement does investigate ALL officer involved shootings, we NOW question the veracity of those investigations, given the FDLE's failure to find any criminal conduct during their Laura Barfield investigation.

We also congratulate State Attorney Jerry Hill's efforts to root out corruption within the Lakeland Police Department.

His office's recent concerns of police officers requiring women to lift their shirts and shake out their bras was of particular interest to VolusiaExposed.

Now, apparently a NEW scandal is being uncovered within the senior ranks of the Lakeland PD, whereas officers were apparently engaging in SEX while on duty.

While the Lakeland police chief has lit up the bat signal to FDLE, and requested that they (FDLE) investigate these serious moral character violations (as per FAC 11B-27.0011) - we are left wondering - maybe State Attorney Jeryy Hill should request a grand jury review regarding these allegations (including non-consensual sex - also known as - RAPE).

NO KUDOS, JUST CRITICISM FOR STATE ATTORNEY R.J. LARIZZA
Mr. Larizza seems to be more focused on NOT embarrassing local law enforcement officials than in rooting out and stopping crime

Not long ago, a Volusia County Sheriff Deputy (Shane Duggan) assisted the Orange City police on the arrest of a female DUI suspect.

During this arrest, it was alleged that the suspect physically assaulted a Orange City police officer.

The suspect was charged with DUI and battery on a law enforcement officer.

However, due to Deputy Duggan's inappropriate contact with the suspect, the Office of State Attorney R.J. Larizza thought it was appropriate to drop felony charges against the suspect in order not to embarrass the sheriff department or the deputy.

We invite you to review the below copy of the Sheriff Department's Internal Investigative report that supports that the felony charge against the defendant was dropped in order to avoid embarrassment to the Sheriff Department.

DID A CONFLICT OF INTEREST
INFLUENCE THE JAIL'S
RAPE INVESTIGATION?

Assistant County Attorney, Nancye Jones handles many of the litigations coming out of the Volusia County jail.

Nancye Jones' husband, VCSO Major Robert Jones, supervises the deputies that investigate possible criminal violations within the county jail.

We have concerns that several criminal investigations have been possibly manipulated, in order to reduce the County of Volusia's civil liability.

Our concern includes this particular in-custody sexual battery investigation, and the below listed situations.

We invite you to review our concerns.
