Florida Supreme Court Decision Reversal in 'Baby Lollipops' Murder Case Blamed on Prosecutor's Remarks - Has A Local Connection |
February 22, 2016 |
According to the below linked media article - there will be a THIRD murder trial regarding the 1990 first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse of three (3) year old Lazaro Figueroa.
Ana Maria Cardona, Figueroa's mother was sentence to death in 2011 - however the Florida Supreme Court recently tossed that conviction due to improper comments made by the prosecutor. According to Florida Bar records, the prosector's co-counsel is currently assigned to the same State Attorney's Office that represents Volusia County (7th Circuit). Records also clearly indicate that our very own local State Attorney's Office has it's own history of making similar inappropriate statements. Things that make you go hummmm..... |
