What Sheriff Eslinger Would Bring To Governor Scott's Re-election Bid Local media outlets are reporting that Seminole County Sheriff Don Eslinger is on the short list to become Gov. Rick Scott's next lieutenant governor. Former Lt. Governor Jennifer Carrol suddenly resigned earlier this year, after authorities questioned her about her connections to a veterans' charity. Currently Former Governor Charlie Crist and Governor Scott have formally indicated their wishes to run in 2014. Charlie Crist, was formerly a republican governor, that has chosen to run this time around as a democrat. Crist's political party shift has created cries from the Scott camp that Crist is a political flip flopper. However, should Scott select Eslinger as his Lt. Governor - we perceive that the voters of Florida will be left with two voting options. OPTION ONE - Vote for the political ticket with a history of flip flopping on the issues.
