Political Patronage Trumps Judicial Experience

Out Going Governor Rick Scott Appoints His
Deputy Chief Counsel To The 5th District Court of Appeal

Judge Meredith Sasso Barely Meets
The Minimum Qualifications For The Appointment

"It is the spirit and not the form of law that keeps justice alive." - Earl Warren

As outlined in our December 31, 2018 article - VolusiaExposed.Com attended and video recorded the December 28, 2018 vetting / interview process of Florida's 5th District Court Of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission (5th DCA JNC).

The 5th DCA JNC interviewed 13 qualified candidates* in order to fill the position opened due to the resignation of Judge Vincent G. Torpy, Jr.

The JNC narrowed the list of judicial candidates to six (6) qualified judicial nominees. These nominees' names were forwarded to Governor Rick Scott for his final selection and appointment. (see interview videos - bottom of page)

In a recent press release - out-going Governor Rick Scott - on his last full day as Florida's governor - appointed his deputy chief counsel, Meredith Sasso to the Fifth District Court of Appeal.

Political Patronage At Its Finest

While all of the thirteen judicial candidates were qualified - this publication takes the position that Meredith Sasso was the least qualified of the bunch (Our OPINION). The Florida Constitution requires ten (10) years of Florida Bar experience - Sasso only obtained that experience earmark last October (2018).

Most of the judicial candidates were well seasoned judges with many years of trial experience. Sasso has ZERO experience on the judicial bench. With her appointment - Governor Scott sent a strong message to all the members of Florida's judiciary - who you know, trumps what you know.

While Meredith Sasso's appointment to the 5th DCA will serve the political interests of Governor (U.S. Senator) Rick Scott, and his minions, her appointment was not in the best interest of the citizens of the State of Florida. This publication further forwards the OPINION that Sasso's judicial appointment will - with no doubt, bring into question - the political independence of Florida's judiciary. The JNC itself also voiced this concern (independence of the judiciary) during Sasso's interview. (see below video of Sasso's interview)

VolusiaExposed.Com has in the past expressed our concerns that gubernatorial judicial appointments are ripe for introducing politics into a system that is dependent on being apolitical.

The Corrupt Politics Associated With Judicial Appointments

U.S. Supreme Court Appointments

And now, Senator Scott moves on to Washington D.C., (AKA - "The Swamp" to some) - where he will represent the citizens of Florida as one of our U.S. Senators. The U.S. Senate confirms Presidential nominations to the U.S. Supreme Court.

So what do we, the citizens of Florida have to look forward to? A U.S. Supreme Court Justice confirmed by Senator Scott - that may not be the best qualified for the job - but rather a judicial appointment that serves the political agenda of Senator Scott, and his cronies? If today's appointment is of any guidance - then probably so.

Here is our prediction - when it becomes necessary to select a new U.S. Supreme Court Justice - Senator Scott will give several press interviews - stating that it is his desire that the most qualified individual be nominated and appointed to the highest court in America. Know now - all of that will be BULLSHIT - Scott will support the least qualified judicial candidate - if such, better supports his political agenda.

Our Stolen Democracy
Our Judicial System Crippled By Political Appointments
& Secret Court Affirmations (PCAs)

Want to know one of the best ways to subjugate a country? Secretly take control of that country's judicial system.

Attempting to subjugate them by impounding their guns - well that is way too messy - and the people will catch on too quickly.

Allow them to keep their guns - in fact - support gun ownership - while you covertly undermine their judicial system.

So, how does one short circuit a society's judicial system? First - convince the people that judicial appointments are better than judicial elections.

Then, once you have appointed enough of "your" judges to the bench - convince the people that Per Curiam Affirmed (PCAs) court rulings are in their best interest. A PCA decision allows the appellate court (like the 5th DCA) to affirm any lower court's decision - without the appellate court having to provide a rationale (written opinion) for their decision.

Want to know more about the manipulation of our criminal justice system via PCAs? Watch each and every JNC interview on the bottom of this page - this PCA debacle is heavily discussed within these judicial interviews. Then watch Dana Delaney Loyd's 5th District Court of Appeal Oral Argument from December 12, 2017. Decide for yourself who won the legal argument of whether Loyd received a fair and impartial trial within Judge Robin Lemonidis' Titusville courtroom.

The 5th DCA issued a PCA decision affirming Loyd's criminal conviction - so, no new trial for Mrs. Loyd.

...and there you have it.... stand by to stand by ..... there is surely more to come of this....
