INJUSTICE ABOUNDS

This publication has been covering Florida's 18th Judicial Circuit since shortly after the August 2015 arrest of BrevardsBestNews.Com's Chief Editor Dana Delaney Loyd.

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) arrested and charged Loyd with making an alleged false call to the Florida Abuse Hotline.

VolusiaExposed.Com has published over thirty (30) articles which present our belief that Loyd's arrest had much more to do with silencing an investigative reporter that was exposing the sexual perverts (including pedophilia) within the ranks of the BCSO - than it ever had to do with any alleged false report to the abuse hotline.

In fairness to the BCSO, and Sheriff Wayne Ivey, we have incorporated within this article - Sheriff Ivey's April 3, 2017 article from the web publication SpaceCoastDaily.Com (SCD) - in which Ivey discusses Loyd's arrest and criminal prosecution.

Please take note of Sheriff Ivey's last paragraph within the SCD article - in which Ivey states, that he is - "extremely proud of everyone involved in the investigation and subsequent prosecution as the investigation, arrest, and conviction sends a very strong message to anyone who falsely reports crimes in our community".

Now, allow Sheriff Ivey's statement to sink in a little (maybe take the time to re-read the statement) - because, within this article we shall question whether Sheriff Ivey, and other members of the 18th Judicial system, have a rather high tolerance regarding law enforcement officers committing perjury?

This article will focus on the alleged, AND recently discovered perjury of Brevard County Deputy Jason Roberts - attached to his involvement, in the criminal prosecution of John Derossett, 68 - charged with three (3) counts of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.
(sounds bad for Mr. Derossett doesn't it - but don't pre-judge him just yet....read on - it gets interesting - also take the time to read our May 3, 2019 article)

As far as this publication is aware - Deputy Jason Roberts had no direct connection to Loyd's arrest or criminal prosecution. However, given Sheriff Ivey's statement regarding Loyd's arrest and prosecution - we shall explore, within this article, whether Deputy Roberts should also be criminally prosecuted?

Deputy Roberts' Termination Sends Shockwaves Throughout The Judicial Circuit

According to a February 18, 2019 Brevard County Sheriff's Office news release - in the early morning hours of February 17, 2019, an off-duty Brevard County deputy was shot and seriously wounded, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Brevard Deputy Shot In Off-Duty Incident Gets Terminated

Initially, both the Jacksonville and the Brevard Sheriff's offices were refusing to identify the wounded deputy. (see BCSO News Release & the attached JCSO Incident Report)

Shortly thereafter, this publication, and several of our associate publications, started to receive back channel information that BCSO Deputy Jason Roberts was the wounded deputy.

This back channel chatter also insinuated that the events surrounding the shooting were not favorable to Deputy Roberts.

On Friday, April 26th, 2019 - this publication came to the journalistic OPINION that we had done our due diligence, and had enough corroboration, to publish our information regarding Deputy Roberts. However, in fairness to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office (BCSO), we sent the attached email, in which we expressed both our concerns, and our intentions to publish, while inviting the BCSO to challenge our assertions.

The BCSO never responded to our email inquiry. However, on the following Monday (April 29, 2019), Sheriff Ivey terminated Deputy Roberts' employment, citing Roberts' involvement in the February 2019 Jacksonville shooting, as well as his extensive past disciplinary history within the BCSO. (see pages 9-11 of the attached PDF file)

This extensive past disciplinary history would soon come to haunt Deputy Roberts, the BCSO, and the local State Attorney's office.

As confirmed within our May 3, 2019 article, Jacksonville officials ruled the shooting of off-duty Deputy Roberts, an act of self defense (see page 13) - therefore, the shooter of Deputy Roberts, identified as Michael Donn of Georgia, WOULD NOT BE criminally prosecuted.

(For additional details regarding the Jacksonville shooting incident - please review the attached BCSO and JSO reports, see upper right of page, OR our May 3, 2019 article)

PERJURY?:
Deputy Roberts'
Involvement In The
John Derossett Prosecution

In late April (2019), while this publication was advising the BCSO of our concerns regarding the Jacksonville shooting incident - we felt an obligation to advise Mr. Derossett's defense team of our suspicions attached to Deputy Roberts. Why? Well, first, given the 18th Judicial Circuit's past history, with particular attention given to the handling ot Loyd's arrest and criminal prosecution, we were not prepared to give the 18th the benefit of the doubt, that they would advise Derossett's defense team of this exculpatory evidence. Secondly, Mr. Derossett's trial was quickly approaching - and the man's life hung in the balance.

Derossett's Attorney Alleges That The Brevard Sheriff's Office Witheld Evidence & That Former Deputy Jason Roberts Committed Perjury.

Lastly, and maybe the most important reason for us reaching out to the Derossett defense team, is the fact that the Derossett trial is currently scheduled in front of Circuit Court Judge Robin "Railroad" Lemonidis.

Circuit Court Judge Robin "Railroad" Lemonidis

Judge Lemonidis has her own basket of judicial dirty laundry - in which many suspect, or have alleged, that Lemonidis routinely places her elbow on the scales of justice, in order to manipulate the outcome of criminal prosecutions. With no doubt - this publication has express such an OPINION - within our coverage of the 2017 Loyd trial.

In addition to our concerns regarding Judge Lemonidis - others, some practicing attorneys within Judge Lemonidis' courtroom have expressed, and even documented within court records their concerns that she (Lemonidis):

1. Mischaracterizes The Testimony Of A Witness

2. Provides Testimony Within Her Own Courtroom

3. Self Investigates - ie., "Googling", The Efficacy & Pharmacology Of Prescription Medications

4. Judicial Bias - Taking On The Role Of Litigant Against The Criminal Defendant

5. Engages In Tyrannical Behavior

In support of the above, we offer a June 2018 court filing in the State v. Catherine Brown (05-2017-CF-033105-AXXX-XX) prosecution as well as a November 2018 court filing within the State v. Skyler Francis (05-2016-CF-012745-AXXX-XX) prosecution.

The Brown case was previously discussed with our April 29, 2019 article - titled "Southern Justice - Brevard County Style". The Skyler case was previously discussed within our December 21, 2018 article

Derossett's May 1, 2019 Hearing

On May 1, 2019 - shortly after this publication made contact with the Derossett defense team - there was a hearing in front of Judge Lemonidis regarding Derossett's pending trial (see attached video / audio of hearing - upper right of this page).

During this hearing - Derossett's attorney advised the Court (Lemonidis) that his office had recently become aware of the Jacksonville shooting incident involving Deputy Roberts - as well as Deputy Roberts' extensive past disciplinary history with the BCSO. The defense advised the Court that these matters (Jacksonville shooting & Roberts' disciplinary history) were "Brady material / evidence" - that should have already been disclosed to the defense. The defense then inferred that this failure to disclose "Brady evidence" was done on purpose.

Derossett's attorney went on to advise the Court - that it was his belief, that Deputy Roberts had perjured himself during an earlier deposition, by not giving a true account of his past disciplinary history with the BCSO. Apparently, during the deposition, Roberts indicated that he had no disciplinary history with the BCSO.

Why No Perjury Charges Against Former Deputy Jason Roberts?

Given Sheriff Ivey's April 3, 2017 statement within his published SpaceCoastDaily.Com article regarding Loyd's criminal conviction for allegedly making a false abuse report - we would imagine that Sheriff Ivey would equally not appreciate - one of his deputies providing a false statement during a criminal deposition.

A recent check of Brevard County Court record indicates that former Deputy Jason Roberts has NOT been charged with giving a false statement under oath. Why? Well, in our OPINION, if they charge Roberts with making a false statement in the Derossett case - there goes the Derossett prosecution - and with the Derossett prosecution gone - the credibility of the BCSO departs with it. So don't get all blue in the face .. waiting for the 18th Judicial Circuit to criminally charge former Deputy Roberts - because all that will get you is ...... being blue in the face. You can't just wait around for justice - many times the virtues of Lady Justice must be defended - and defended by insignificant people - like you and I.

Our Final Thoughts

In our OPINION, the 18th Judicial Circuit is nothing more than a criminal syndicate - with the assigned purposes of silencing critics - and insuring coverage for the syndicate's affluent and politically connected friends.

At "syndicate" meetings - we imagine that they pledge a slightly different allegiance -- something like:
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all of our affluent and politically connected friends - screw everyone else." (signed - The 18th Judicial Circuit's Status Quo)
