"Police throughout the United States have been caught fabricating, planting, and manipulating evidence to obtain convictions where cases would otherwise be very weak. Some authorities regard police perjury as so rampant that it can be considered a "subcultural norm rather than an individual aberration" of police officers."

Answers & Justice
Are Hard Commodities To Come By Within The 7th Judicial Circuit

Ever since Michelle O'Connell was found dead from a gun shot wound to the head, in the St. Augustine home she shared with her boyfriend, St. John County Sheriff Deputy, Jeremy Banks - the O'Connell family has sought two things - answers to their questions, and justice for Michelle.

Four years have passed since Michelle died from a bullet from Deputy Banks' service weapon.

While the St. John Sheriff Department has ruled Michelle's death a suicide, the O'Connell family expresses concerns that the sheriff department's investigation was more of a cover-up, than it was a death or homicide investigation.

The family's opinion is also shared by not only many within the community of St. Augustine, but also by some in the law enforcement community, outside of the St. John's Sheriff Department.

The events and controversy surrounding Michelle's untimely death were highlighted in several local and nationwide media outlets, to include a 2013 video documentary by the PBS television series - Frontline.

In late 2013 - we, VolusiaExposed ran the below linked article detailing the allegations attached to O'Connell's death. We invite our readers to review our November 2013 article, as well as the above attached video of the September 2, 2014 rally for justice for Michelle.

Hopefully, Attorney Benjamin Crump's representation will now secure the O'Connell family the answers to their questions, and the justice they seek and deserve.
