As detailed in an April 19, 2018 - in late 2017 the New Smyrna Beach Police were actively investigating one of their own officers for engaging in sexual activity while on duty.
The investigative finding supported that Officer Beau Estrada was routinely and not so discreetly meeting women for romantic encounters while on duty.
According to a - Officer Estrada resigned prior to the completion of the internal affairs investigation.
Engaging in sex while on duty is a violation of which should cause the CJSTC (FDLE) to take disciplinary action against Officer Estrada's law enforcement certification.
