UPDATE November 13, 2019 Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Dan Traver to the Fifth District Court of Appeal Tallahassee, Fla. – Today (November 12, 2019), Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Dan Traver to the Fifth District Court of Appeal. The Fifth District Court covers portions of East and Central Florida. Traver, of Orlando, is currently serving as a Circuit Court Judge for the Ninth Judicial Circuit. He previously served as a lawyer for GrayRobinson, P.A. and clerked for United States District Court Judge Kendall Sharp. He received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and his law degree from Loyola University, Chicago School of Law. Traver fills the vacancy created by the confirmation of Judge Wendy Berger to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida. |

On September 11 & 12, 2019 VolusiaExposed.Com attended the vetting / interview process of Florida's 5th District Court Of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission (5th DCA JNC).
The 5th DCA JNC interviewed 17 qualified candidates* in order to fill the position opened due to Judge Wendy Berger's appointment to the federal bench.
VolusiaExposed wishes to extend our thanks to all the 5th DCA JNC members , with particular attention given to JNC Chairperson, Michael Sasso.
The JNC narrowed the list of judicial candidates to six (6) qualified judicial nominees. These nominees' names will be forwarded to Governor Ron DeSantis for his final selection and appointment. (see right of web page) --->
Based on what was heard, and what was discussed during the interview process, all of the nominees are qualified to serve on the 5th District Court Of Appeal. We invite our readers to review the video interviews of the nominees.
