Volusia County Paramedic Resigns Over Nude Photos Fracas

Allegation: Paramedic Sherlock Was Using Photos As Blackmail

Updated

"Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence." - John Adams

As was previously covered within a December 20, 2018 Daytona Beach News Journal Article - Volusia County Paramedic Amy Sherlock submitted her December 4, 2018 resignation via email.

It was alleged that Sherlock had collected nude photos of some of her co-workers - and was keeping these photos as "insurance" - if it ever became necessary to use them as "blackmail" in order to avoid any type of disciplinary action.

This publication has obtained (via a public records request) a copy of the investigative report generated in this matter.

While this publication received a request from the County to redact the names of the women mentioned in the Report Of Incident. Our decision to post the Report of Incident unredacted was based on several factors.

1. The report is a public record - easily obtainable by the public.

2. Mr. Chip Maher's name has already been mentioned in the press.

3. The apparent facts surrounding how the photos came into existence (selfies / authorized by person in photo)

...."and there you have it....stand by to stand by ... there is surely more to come of this"...
