According to a recently obtained Volusia County Sheriff Department incident report - during the early morning hours of December 19, 2015 - Volusia County jail Inmate Christian Cruz attempted suicide by hanging himself with a bed sheet. Correctional Officer Edgar Rodriguez - a less than two year veteran with the jail - discovered Cruz in distress, and took both immediate and appropriate action in order to save Cruz's life. Kudos to Officer Rodriguez ! |
