The rationale for this article is to highlight a recently published article by CNN, regarding law enforcement's usage of the drug Ketamine, and the medical condition of "excited delirium", as they are attached, within some arrests of alleged violent criminal suspects. We (VolusiaExposed.Com) believe that the CNN reporting provides an additional observational window into the in-custody death of combat veteran Gregory L. Edwards. For nearly two years now, VolusiaExposed.Com has been covering the events, the investigations, and the public protests surrounding the December 2018 in-custody death of Edwards, within the Brevard County (FL) jail. August 12, 2019 Murdered By The BCSO While there is no evidence, to our knowledge, that the tranquilizer Ketamine was used in the Edwards arrest, the controversial medical condition of "excited delirium" was the cited cause of Edwards' death. According to the autopsy report, Edwards' death was "accidental" - caused by "excitied delirium". However, as covered within other media articles (see below links), there are some individuals within the medical community, that have stated that Edwards' death was NOT an "accident". One medical professional even suggests that Edwards may have been a victim of homicide.
