VolusiaExposed.Com is in receipt of an October 5, 2018 arrest report from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office. (see right of page --->)
According to the arrest report and it's supplement report - BCSO Agent Richard Preis was arrested under two counts of tampering with a witness / victim / informant - and one count of domestic battery. The narrative of the arrest report indicates that Agent Preis' arrest involved a domestic dispute with his spouse. Media and Court records indicate that Mrs. Preis has recently started divorce proceedings against Mr. Preis. Information received by this publication - as well as Volusia Court records indicate that the Preis' have a long standing domestic violence history - which included Mrs. Preis' February 2018 arrest for domestic violence In a February 3, 2017 media article - authored by Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey - Agent Preis was one of two deputies recognized as deputy of the month. Agent Preis' apparent fall from grace is yet more bad news for the Brevard County Sheriff's Office. After all it was only last March (2018) when BCSO Deputy Nick Worthy - the 2016 Florida Sheriff's Association's Law Enforcement Officer Of The Year - was arrested for drug possession and child neglect charges. Agent Preis' employment status with the BCSO is currently unknown to this publication - but we are looking into his employment status. Stand by to stand by - there surely will be more to report on this....... |
