On October 17, 2025 - VolusiaExposed.Com attended, and video recorded, the vetting & interview processes of Florida's 7th Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC). The JNC was tasked with interviewing and vetting twenty-two (22) judicial candidates (see right of page =>) to fill three (3) open judicial positions, one being a Putnam County court seat, the other two being newly created circuit wide seats (Volusia, Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns). Upon the completion of the vetting, interview, and deliberation processes - the JNC forwarded ten (10) judicial nominees to Governor Ron DeSantis for his consideration in making the three judicial appointments. (see below right of page =>) This publication has also provided within this article - the video interviews and written applications of all ten (10) selected nominees (see bottom of page). We wish to thank all the members of the JNC - as always, all the commissioners carried out their duties in a professional manner. A special thanks goes out to Travis Mydock, the commission's chair - for his communications, and his quick turn arounds of our public record requests. ................................................................................................. Judicial Candidate Allison Hughes Upon invitation of the JNC - we (VolusiaExposed.Com) expressed, within an "open letter" (click here to read) to the JNC - our concerns regarding Judicial Candidate Allison Hughes. This publication forwards OUR OPINION - that Assistant Public Defender Hughes failed to properly defend a fourteen (14) year-old girl, in what we believe was a “railroaded criminal prosecution” pushed by a tyrannical sheriff. We further opined within our "open letter" - that the teenager's defense team (including APD Hughes) worked hand-in-hand with the sheriff, the state attorney, and the judge to coerce this middle schooler into taking a twenty year prison sentence (plea), solely to protect the sheriff from public ridicule, over false statements he had made against this child. If you wish to know more of how a cabal of government actors coerced a child into accepting a twenty year prison sentence - just to save the sheriff from public ridicule - read the below linked "related articles". Fortunately, Hughes was not nominated by the JNC for the governor's consideration regarding a judicial appointment, at least not this time around. Nobody really cares about your emails. You were just another insignificant worm looking to find a reason to breathe. Have a great weekend." In the above email communications - Sheriff Mike "Pinocchio" Chitwood opted not to challenge our allegations, that he lied on this child - instead, he simply advised this publication that "nobody really cares" what we publish. the sun, the moon, and the truth.” ~ Buddha |

AND An Honorable Mention For Attorney Therese Truelove There is some truth to the adage "least said, best said", and in our opinion, Judicial Candidate Therese Truelove provided the best interview of the day. Truelove's interview lasted just over three minutes - AND in the end, she did not make the judicial nominees list that was forwarded to Governor DeSantis. However, we invite you to listen to her interview. This publication suspects that she is a "top shelf" attorney - with a fully operational ethical compass. Attorney Therese Truelove 10-17-25 Should our readers wish to express their thoughts to the governor - regarding these pending judicial appointments, please feel free to do so at this email link (jason.weida@eog.myflorida.com) Stand by to stand by ..... we shall post the governor's appointments once he makes them. |
