As was reported by the FLORIDA PHOENIX - Florida democrats have introduced legislation that will, if passed, create a more humane environment for incarcerated women within Florida's correctional institutions.

The bill not only calls for female inmates to have access to free medical necessities like toothpaste and mentrual hygiene products - the bill also addresses the behaviors of male prison / jail staffers.
