On October 12, 2020, VolusiaExposed.Com was advised via an email from Michael Sasso, Sr., the chairperson of the 5th DCA Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC), twenty-four applicants have applied for the open judicial seat on this district court of appeal.

The judicial opening was caused by 5th DCA Judge Jamie Grosshans' appointment to the Florida Supreme Court.

The JNC will be holding judicial inteviews of the applicants on November 9-10, 2020 in Daytona Beach. The public is welcome to attend.
