Earlier today (April 20, 2016) VolusiaExposed.Com attended the plea acceptance hearing for former Volusia County Sheriff Deputy Edward Lueck.

Lueck had been arrested in 2013 under the criminal charges of being lewd and lascivious with a child and for possessing child porn.

Lueck was initially willing to accept the State's plea offer - but wavered in his acceptance of the offer, when he discovered Judge Marriott's desire to immediately place Lueck into custody. Apparently - Lueck has some civil matters regarding his Florida State pension, and his marriage, that he wished to resolve prior to going into custody.

After the State advised the Court that if Lueck refused to accept the plea bargain today - they would refile - seeking several counts of capital sexual battery on a child. Lueck, shortly thereafter, accepted the plea bargain, and was taken into custody.

Sentencing for Mr. Lueck will be sometime in May 2016.

So ends the long nightmare of a little girl - and so begins Mr. Lueck's nightmare.

VolusiaExposed would like to extend our thanks to all of the professional news media that attended today's hearing.
Judge Marriott authorized two (2) video cameras in the courtroom. Due to the willingness of all the professional news media to share the video feed from one camera - VolusiaExposed.Com was able to record with our smaller camera.

A special thanks goes out to Judge Marriott as well - normally only one camera is authorized.
