OUR CONTINUING COVERAGE THE POLITICAL PROSECUTION OF KATHLEEN EDWARDS |

Widow Prosecuted In Retaliation For Lawsuit Against Sheriff As this publication has outlined within our earlier articles (see below web links) - we have formed, and expressed our "OPINION" that the criminal prosecution of U.S. military veteran Kathleen Edwards for the accidental drowning death of her infant son - is directly and POLITICIALLY driven by Edwards family's lawsuit against the Brevard County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) for the December 2018 excessive use of force death of her husband - U.S. combat veteran Gregory L. Edwards - within the confines of the Brevard county jail. Within a July 2, 2021 email to local government officials - this publication addressed our "jury packing" concerns, along with the recent assignment of Court Judge Benjamin Garagozlo to the Edwards case (see "COURT SCHEDULE" section - for the July 22, 2021 arraignment). RELATED / EARLIER ARTICLES RELATED VOLUSIAEXPOSED.COM ARTICLE June 29, 2021 PANDERING TO PEDOPHILES RELATED VOLUSIAEXPOSED.COM ARTICLE May 31, 2021 POLITICAL PROSECUTIONS OVER HONEST POLICING, A RECKONING APPROACHES BREVARD COUNTY Finding The Truth - Within The Details VolusiaExposed.Com alleges that COUNTY COURT Judge Ben Garagozlo has a political conflict of interest, within his attachment to the criminal prosecution of Kathleen Edwards. First, why is a COUNTY COURT judge scheduled to hear a matter that is clearly assigned to the CIRCUIT COURT? Obviously, the criminal prosecution of Kathleen Edwards has political ramifications attached. Evidence of these "political ramifications" can be reviewed within both State Attorney Phil Archer's & Brevard Sheriff Wayne Ivey's "press releases" regarding Edwards' arrest and criminal prosecution. VolusiaExposed.Com discovered that during the 2014 election cycle - Judge Garagozlo picked up a challenger for his judicial seat. Rarely, do sitting judges face a political challenger, usually they are re-elected unopposed. According to Internet records, (see upper right of page) - both State Attorney Phil Archer & Brevard Sheriff Wayne Ivey were more than willing to provide Judge Garagozlo with written endorsements. Further, when Judge Garagozlo's spouse, Patricia Garagozlo decided in 2020, that she was going to apply for a gubernatorial judicial appointment - she used then BCSO Chief Deputy Doug Waller as a personal / professional reference within her submitted judicial application (see page 16 of judicial application / or see right of this page -->). Chief Deputy Waller was second in command of the BCSO - and as supported by BCSO records (also see upper right of this page) was heavily involved within both Edwards matters - Mr. Edwards' in-custody death, and the criminal investigation of Mrs. Edwards. Obviously, both the Garagozlos have "professional connections" within the administration of the BCSO. In 2020, Mrs. Garagozlo was unsuccessful in securing her gubernatorial judicial appointment. However, it is well known throughout the nation, that both Sheriff Ivey, and Governor Ron DeSantis are "political buddies". Surely, the writing should be on the wall for the Garagozlos - of what they must be willing to do - to secure that second judicial paycheck. And yeah ..... unfortunately, "justice" Brevard County style ..... it's apparently just like that. Let's all "stand by to stand by" and see if Judge Garagozlo takes the high road - by recusing himself. |

According to at least one media account, Sheriff Ivey is seen as the king of Brevard political endorsements. Apparently, in 2014 - Judge Garagozlo sought and secured Sheriff Ivey's political endorsement. If it is true - that Sheriff Ivey is the de facto political "king maker" - AND local judges may have to defend their judicial seats from possible challengers - then, don't all Brevard County judges have a "conflict of interest" attached to the Kathleen Edwards prosecution? Lastly, since State Attorney Phil Archer must face re-election - doesn't he also have a "conflict of interest" regarding the Edwards prosecution? Which is more important - politics or justice? FLORIDATODAY.COM August 26, 2016 Sheriff Seen As King Of Brevard Political Endorsements A Corrupt Backwoods Southern Lawyer, & A Judge With Blood Stains On His Hands Welcome To Brevard County It's A Reba McEntire Song! Reba McEntire - The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia ARTICLE IN OVER-TIME Addressing Our Readers' Questions & Feedback YES VIRGINIA - JURY PACKING DOES EXIST WITHIN BREVARD COUNTY Within our May 31, 2021 article titled - "POLITICAL GONORRHEA ! POLITICAL PROSECUTIONS OVER HONEST POLICING, A RECKONING APPROACHES BREVARD COUNTY - this publication explored our belief that the Brevard County court system was engaging in the illegal practice of jury packing. We shall allow our previous article to stand as our explanation of what we believe is transpiring within the Brevard County criminal justice system - and how it is negatively impacting "justice". It is important to understand - that we suspect that "jury packing" is being accomplished PRIOR to the Voir dire process - which is conducted in open court. The Devil is to be found within the details of the "jury pool" selection process - which transpires outside the public's view. If you control (manipulate) the "jury pool" selection process - then you control the jury selection process. The Voir dire process can be used to remove any "token" potential jurors, via peremptory challenges, that were "allowed" within the jury pool, simply in order to provide the "optics" that the pool was randomly selected. It is ALSO important to understand that we are NOT alleging that "jury packing" is being used within ALL Brevard jury trials - rather, just those "special cases" whereas the State needs to insure that the "fix is in". We would "imagine" (our best guess) that these "special cases" are "scheduled" for trial during the same week - thus insuring that the juries are selected from this "packed" and specially selected "jury pool" for that particular week. Since the publication of our May 31, 2021 article, this publication has received several inquirings - some questioning the manner of how we determined that "jury packing" is an on-going concern within this particular judicial circuit. Several of our detractors allege that "jury packing" is impossible - because there are laws and procedures that guard against it. Our response to to these detractors is as follows: Remember this: 1.) There are ALSO laws and procedures that guard against sexual predators residing within 1000 feet of a park too. So, does that mean local officials honor and follow those laws? 2.) There are ALSO laws and procedures regarding the cancellation of pre-trial bonds after three (3) years too. So, does that mean that local officials are requiring expired bonds to be re-newed? If the answers to the above two questions are "NO" - then really how "impossible" is "jury packing" within Brevard County courtrooms? Please remember - that Brevard County has both Court, and prosecutorial misconduct that goes back for decades.
